Owned and operated by Chris Obssuth and Edward Decker, MYI believes the most important ingredient in any contractor is the people who you will be dealing with.
As part of assuring your comfort level, MYI only employs installers who are well trained, courteous and are will accommodate you in any way possible.
Both men have always believed that overexpansion in the custom audio/video business is a recipe for unhappy customers. They pride themselves on being small enough to handle any issues that arise in an efficient and timely manner. By designing the systems themselves and supervising all installations, the partners ensure that all jobs are not only documented on paper, but in their heads as well. On the rare occasion that a customer is having difficulty operating one of MYI's products, we can often direct them to a solution from memory without the need for an on-site service call.
MYI keeps its customer base local to our headquarters in Bergen County, New Jersey. Keeping the jobs close to home allows for timely service calls and personal customer service. For longer-distance projects, MYI requires a qualified local tech to be on board as part of the project from the beginning.
Given the wide array of products available and the rate with which new products hit the market, it is important for consumers to know which equipment will be best for his or her needs. MYI tests all of its products repeatedly before recommending them to its customers. We also maintain an active presence on online discussion forums and discuss the products with other installers before we make recommendations. It is a rule at MYI that any product that fails in the field more than once will no longer be quoted or installed by the team.
Our work is never complete until as much time that is necessary is spent with our customer to bring them up to speed on operating their installed systems. Our goal is to make thinks SIMPLE! Our experience has told us that when a system is simple to use, our customers use it more and integrate the system into their daily lives. The days of fumbling through the remotes to try and get something to work are over!
